Description

Dan Mosier II is a fish biology specialist at the Farlington Fish
Hatchery operated by the KDW&P's. He received his BS, MS in Field
Biology from Pittsburg State University. Dan is also an apiarist
(beekeeper) and will be the guest speaker at the Sperry-Galligar Audubon
meeting at 7:00 P.M., Room 102, PSU's Yates Hall, 1702 S. Joplin St.,
Pittsburg, KS. His talk will cover: where to get the kinds of equipment
and bees needed to start beekeeping; removing, relocating, and rescuing
bees from locations where they are not wanted; and basic honey bee
biology, hive maintenance, and other topics relevant to honey bees.
Open to the public. Free refreshments.
