Description
The Drake Performance and Event Center is located on the campus of the Ohio State University, nestled along the Olentangy River. The Drake houses the Department of Theatre and hosts a variety of theatre and television productions, in addition to offering meeting, banquet and conference facilities.
The Drake opened in 1972 as the Drake Union to serve the needs of students in the west campus area. It was named in honor of Edward "Beanie" Drake, who served the university for 33 years, 25 of them as manager of the Ohio Union.
